Solange Knowles is a Grammy-award-winning singer and songwriter hailing from Houston, Texas. Knowles started releasing music in 2002 at the age of 16 and has since released 4 musically diverse studio albums, exploring themes of black identity and culture. Her most recent endeavor is Eldorado Ballroom, a multidisciplinary performance series she curated as a creative tribute to Houston’s Third Ward. Through this project, Solange honors the legacy of the historic venue while spotlighting Black artistry, especially that of Black women, spanning multiple generations. With every project, Solange fuses art, activism, and community, proving her place as a visionary voice in contemporary culture and a proud daughter of Texas.
