The countdown to FIFA 2026 is under way as the official announcement of the international media headquarters for the World Cup based in Dallas was made. The Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center will serve as the home for FIFA’s International Broadcast Center (IBC) during the 2026 World Cup. The IBC will host around 2,000 broadcasters and serve as the operational base for FIFA’s broadcasting and media departments.

“Being selected as host city for the FIFA World Cup 2026 IBC is a monumental win for Dallas and a testament to our global readiness,” said Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson. A $15 million investment will fund upgrades to meet FIFA’s standards. The center’s selection highlights the city’s global appeal and significant economic impact. Dallas previously hosted the IBC during the 1994 World Cup, further solidifying its role as a key location for major international sporting events.
