City of Dallas Recognizes April as Distracted Driving Awareness Month

The City of Dallas will recognize April as National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, joining a nationwide effort to raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving and eliminate preventable deaths and injuries on our roadways.

In a survey of residents for the City of Dallas Vision Zero plan, 64% of respondents said distracted driving was a challenge to navigating Dallas safely. The Vision Zero Action Plan is a response to a goal set by the Dallas City Council in 2019 to eliminate traffic fatalities and cut severe injuries in half by 2030. The action plan will be presented to Dallas City Council for adoption in 2022.
