Texas Association of Black Female Physicians Hosts Health Fair in Hamilton Park

Health Fair by Texas Association of Black Female Physicians

The Texas Association of Black Female Physicians, founded by Pamela S. Lowery, MSA, recently hosted a vibrant community health fair in Hamilton Park, bringing together families, neighbors, and health professionals for a day dedicated to wellness and empowerment.

The event offered free health screenings, wellness resources, and interactive sessions designed to educate participants about preventive care and healthy living. Lowery and her team emphasized the importance of access, equity, and community in addressing health disparities that disproportionately affect minority populations.

“I founded the organization so that African American physicians could get the assistance they need, and so that we could support the health needs in our community,” said Lowery. “This event is about education, access to health care, and being present in the community so that we are all able to come together and network regarding available resources.” The health fair also provided opportunities for attendees to connect with local organizations, receive guidance on nutrition and fitness, and engage in conversations about mental health and chronic disease prevention.
