Murphy chose the name 3 Kings BBQ as a reflection of his strong church upbringing. Raised in the church, with his mother serving for years as the lead musician, his faith has always been central to his life. He explains that the “3 Kings” does not refer to three people, but to the biblical story of the three wise kings who followed the star that led them to Jesus. For him, the name also symbolizes the idea that many good things come in threes.
At 3 Kings BBQ, everything prepared on the trailer is homemade — nothing is store-bought. From the meats to the sides, the focus is on authentic, handcrafted barbecue made with care, tradition, and purpose.
