Roland Parrish was born in Hammond, IN and attended Purdue University and he is the CEO and owner of Parrish Restaurants, LTD, with almost 30 McDonald’s in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He is the 2nd largest African American owned McDonald’s Franchisee in the country. Roland went to college on academic and athletic scholarships and for decades he has provided scholarships, jobs and internships for students. Families have been able to support themselves because they were given jobs, opportunities and mentorship through Parrish Restaurants since its founding in 1989. It’s interesting to note he opened his first McDonald’s on Juneteenth. A member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Mr. Parrish, and family, has been honored numerous times for his philanthropy and commitment to excellence; not only nationally, but internationally. Parrish Restaurants is an excellent corporate citizen.
