
Dr. Tracie L. Keesee currently serves as the Associate Professor of Public Safety and Justice at the University of Virginia’s School of Professional and Continuing Studies and Co-founded the Center of Policing Equity, and is the former president of the organization. In 2021, Dr. Keesee was appointed to the United Nations Human Rights Council, focusing on racial justice and equity for Africans and people of African descent. FBI National Academy graduate and published author, Dr. Keesee earned her B.A. in Political Science at Metropolitan State College-Denver and obtained certifications in Public Policy and Public Administration; an M.A. in Criminal Justice at The University of Colorado Denver; a Ph.D. in Intercultural Communications at The University of Denver; and a Diversity and Inclusion Certification at Cornell University.
