An Application to change the name of Houston Street Bridge (Houston Street Viaduct) between Zang Boulevard and Young Street to “Pettis Norman Bridge.” The Staff recommended approval. The Subdivision Review Committee recommendation – Denial.

Pettis Norman was a philanthropist, scholar, student athlete, professional athlete, humanitarian, entrepreneur, bridge builder, husband, father, grandfather, community servant, astute businessman, civil rights leader, political strategist, and friend to many.
