The Voting Rights Act has been gutted to deprive all voters of the right to fair maps and representation.
Greed and racism is at the root of this battle. The children of Israel were in race-based bondage for 400 years until God used plagues to demand, “Let my people go.” America reached our 400 years of race-based oppression from the first legal record of people being kidnapped to be sold; White Lion’s Landing in 1619 to 2019, when a plague called Covid cost over 1.2 million lives in the US. We’ve had multiple plagues since: economic, medical, political. The only real question now is will we wander until the next generation grows up or will we get up and walk in faith right now to take our Promised Land, to demand full citizenship promised under contract of our Constitution.
In Biblical times, Nehemiah enlisted every family to rebuild the wall in front of their own homes. Today, every VOTE is a brick in the wall. If your VOTE wasn’t important, there would be no redistricting, no gerrymandering, no attack on mail-in voting, no removal of people from the voting rolls, no legislative goal to deny women and all people from voting or sending of armed forces into cities to scare us to not vote. If we realize our power and exercise it to vote, this administration will be held accountable and we will pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act that will be a resurrection and improvement to make sure no one can ever do what this administration has done.
VOTE like your life and the lives of your children and grandchildren depend on it, because it does.

The runoff election early voting is May 18-22. Election day, May 26.
