It was pure. It was social. March 15, 2026 was an afternoon filled with fun, food and smiles at Pure Social Dallas in Richardson, Texas as sorority sisters celebrated the 11th chapter anniversary of AKA OAO. Eleven years of impact in the cities of Frisco, Little Elm, Prosper, Denton and The Colony has been felt by the service areas and beyond since the chapter’s chartering on March 8, 2015. Congratulations to the visionaries who founded and all who have served Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Omega Alpha Omega Chapter. This group of dynamic women continuously pour into their communities.

The celebration was bittersweet as members learned earlier in the day one of their staunchest supporters, Shirley R. Fisher, became an Ivy Beyond the Wall. This designation is given to members of the sorority upon their death. Many in the chapter were close to Fisher and plan to continue her legacy of exceptional service.
