OBIT: LEE DWAYNE BLEVINS

Lee Dwayne Blevins, born on March 1, 1944, departed this life on March 16, 2025. He lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to his family, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished forever.

As a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Lee exemplified the qualities of kindness and generosity. He was a genuine man with a remarkable sense of humor, always ready with a joke that could bring joy to any gathering. Lee was known fondly among his family and friends as a great advisor, and his steadfast support often guided those he loved through life’s challenges.

Lee’s passion for nurturing was evident in his gift for taken care of plants; he was recognized as a “green thumb,” taking great pleasure in growing plants.  His family fondly remembers the countless meals where they gathered around, enjoying the fruits of his labor. Known affectionately as the “BBQ man,” his cooking brought friends and family together, creating lasting memories that would warm hearts for years to come.

In his younger days, Lee displayed a zest for life through various activities that reflected his adventurous spirit. He found joy in attending track meets, skating, swimming, and boxing, experiences that enriched his life and provided him with treasured stories to share with future generations.

A true family man, Lee took great care of his loved ones, making them feel secure and cherished. He was nothing short of a hero in their lives, demonstrating unwavering support and love.

Lee Dwayne Blevins will be honored with a Celebration of Life service on Friday March 21, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. A Funeral Service will follow on  Saturday March 22, 2025, at 3:00 PM, also at Golden Gate Funeral Home.
