The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a fatal accident that occurred yesterday, Friday, March 7, 2025, in the 200 block of East IH-30 eastbound.
At approximately 6:50 p.m., a motorcycle operator and passenger were traveling east on IH-30 when the operator collided with a Chevy pickup truck in slow moving traffic. The operator of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene and the passenger was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the Chevy pickup was not injured. According to witness statements, the operator of the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the collision.
The identity of the deceased will be released by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office once the next of kin has been notified.
The collision remains under investigation.
