It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Elgin Lee Coleman Jr., who left our world on February 6, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on the 27th of February in 1968, Elgin was a luminary whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who had the honor of knowing him. A man of integrity and compassion, he leaves behind a legacy that will resonate deeply in the hearts of many.

In his vibrant years, Elgin shared wisdom and laughter, fostering bonds that transcended time and geography. His enchanting spirit was a guiding light, illuminating even the darkest paths. He embraced life’s challenges with unwavering resolve and relished moments of joy with an openness that drew others closely to him. Elgin’s laughter was contagious, his stories rich with experience and insight.

A viewing in celebration of his life will be held on February 21, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. Friends, family, and all who loved Elgin are invited to gather as they share memories and pay their respects in a loving embrace of remembrance.

The following day, February 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM, a funeral service will honor his remarkable journey. It will take place at the same location, giving all who cherished him a chance to reflect on the profound impact he made during his time with us.

Elgin Lee Coleman Jr. may have concluded his earthly voyage, but the love he instilled in those around him will perpetually bloom, vibrant and unyielding. As we bid farewell to a gentle soul, let us carry forth his legacy of love and light, forever cherishing the beautiful moments we shared.
