Duane Holman, affectionately known as “Wolf Cat,” passed away on October 22, 2024, in Mesquite, Texas. Born on December 7, 1953, in Rosebud, Duane lived a life rich in experiences and contributions, particularly through his career in veteran affairs, where his commitment to serving those who served was evident.

Duane was a proud member of the Army, reflecting a dedication to his country that shaped much of his character. Those who knew him often remarked on his happy disposition, and his presence brought warmth and joy to the lives of many. He had an innate ability to uplift others, sharing his zest for life and his fervent love for history.

In his leisure time, Duane passionately engaged in string art, a hobby that highlighted his creativity and attention to detail. He was also an avid reader, always seeking knowledge and immersing himself in literary worlds, which complemented his deep appreciation for history. These interests not only enriched his own life but also provided a way for him to connect with others, sharing stories and insights.

Duane’s light will be missed profoundly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. As we remember his happy spirit and the countless moments shared, it is clear that his legacy of service, creativity, and joy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
