Dorothy Mae Claybon, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. Born on January 19, 1949, in Deberry, Texas, Dorothy lived a life that was a true reflection of her caring, loving, and funny personality. She was a people person who touched the lives of everyone she encountered with her warmth and kindness.

Dorothy had a zest for life, engaging in hobbies that brought her joy, including shopping, cooking, and watching old Western movies. Her keen interest in the news kept her informed and connected to the world around her. A proud member of her family, Dorothy cherished her accomplishments as a loving matriarch, always finding joy in the time spent with her loved ones.

To honor Dorothy’s life and legacy, visitation will be held on November 1, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. A funeral service will follow on November 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM, also at Golden Gate Funeral Home.

Dorothy Mae Claybon will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
