Elizabeth Thomas, a beloved member of the community, passed away peacefully at her residence on March 29, 2024. Born in Ft. Worth, Texas on July 3, 1933, she leaves behind a legacy filled with love, kindness, and remarkable achievements.

Elizabeth’s journey was one marked by grace and excellence from an early age. She graduated from Turner High School in Waxahachie, Texas in 1951 and was not only celebrated for her academic accomplishments but also crowned as “Miss Turner High,” a title she carried with poise and dignity throughout her life.

Beyond her academic success, Elizabeth had a passion for gardening and cooking that brought joy to all those around her. Her green thumb was evident in the vibrant blooms that adorned her home, while her delicious creations filled the hearts and stomachs of her family and friends.

Elizabeth was a devoted mother to her surviving children, Avis Thomas-Gold and Keith R. Thomas. Her love for them knew no bounds, and she took great pride in their accomplishments and cherished every moment spent together as a family.

In the quiet moments of reflection, Elizabeth found solace in her hobbies and interests, pouring her heart into every flower she nurtured and every dish she prepared. Her dedication to these simple pleasures served as an inspiration to all who knew her.

As we mourn the loss of Elizabeth Thomas, let us also celebrate the life she lived – a life filled with beauty, warmth, and unwavering love. May her memory continue to blossom in our hearts, much like the gardens she tended so lovingly.
