Loretta Wright-Dennison, 61, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023, at Vibra Specialty Hospital in Desoto, Tx. Loretta was born September 7, 1962, in Terrell, Tex., to Claude Hickman Sr. and Juanita Hickman.
Loretta attended Terrell ISD schools and later finished at Kimball High of Dallas, TX. In 1978, she gave birth to her wonderful son and a few years later in 1982, she gave birth to a beautiful daughter. June 8, 1985, Loretta married her life companion and friend, Louis B. Wright Sr.
In 1985, Loretta and her family moved to Lancaster, TX.
She decided to continue her education at Cedar Valley College where she studied accounting. She worked in Fashion Retail for several years then decided to redirect her career into Real Estate.
In the 1981, Loretta received salvation and was a member of Truevine Holy Temple Full Gospel in Dallas, TX. under the leadership of Apostille James A. Jones., serving the youth and usher board. After becoming a widow to her husband Louis Wright Sr., she married William “Doug” Dennison in 1999.
Loretta was very loving, motivating, encouraging and full of smiles. She loved witnessing, reading the bible and telling people about her heavenly father. She was a spiritual and praying warrior who would pray whenever and wherever the spirit led her. She was a giving person that would help in any way she could. She enjoyed feeding and helping the homeless and those in need. Loretta loved and cherished time with her family. Loretta became a member of Chose Generation in Terrell, Tx under the leadership of Pastor Reginal Miller in 2017.
Loretta is survived by her son, Unterrius Hickman of Lancaster, TX, her daughter, LaShonte Hickmon of Plano, TX, her only grandson, Derrick Wilson of Dallas, TX, and a stepson, Louis Wright Jr. of Terrell, TX. She is survived by her three sisters, Bonnie Hickman, Christine Tolbert, both of Terrel TX, and Evang. Mary Mathis of Red Oak TX. Five brothers, Claude Hickman Jr., Floyd Hickman (Dorothy), Raymond Hickmon, Benjamin Hickman all of Terrell TX, and Calvin Hickman (Faith) of Dallas, TX. A host of family, friends, and loved ones.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Hickman Sr., Juanita Hickman, her late husband, Louis B Wright Sr.
