We all know how important a healthy diet is. We hear our doctors and fitness trainers preach about how we should stay away from foods with high sugar and sodium levels and focus more on foods like fruits, vegetables, and meals that contain omega-3. Consuming the right foods can help you increase your energy, lose weight, and reduce your chances of developing a health condition like high blood pressure, diabetes and/or high cholesterol. In addition, to food promoting a healthy lifestyle, it can also promote healing and help you better manage health conditions. In fact, if you are someone who has fibroids, then eating these 8 foods can help you shrink and relieve your symptoms.

The ”8” Foods

They are powerful additions to your diet because they contain vitamins and minerals that your body needs along with fiber. Fiber helps to remove toxins and waste matter from the body before they cause any damage. An increase in fiber means eliminating excessive estrogen, which equals better weight control.

2. Flaxseed

A plant-based food that houses phytoestrogens. This plant replaces some of the much stronger and damaging estrogens that are naturally produced by our bodies.

This, in turn, prevents estrogen dominance that causes fibroids to build up.

3. Legumes

A rich source of soluble fiber, that picks up waste matter and toxins such as excessive estrogen on its way out of the body.

Legumes can be found in beans and peas. These foods promote hormone balance, which can shrink fibroids.

4. Garlic and Onion

Eating salmon, sardines or tuna is another fantastic way to promote hormone balance because they are a rich source of fatty acids, which are anti-inflammatory.

6. Eggs

Eggs, in general, are already a major source of protein but when you get eggs from free-range birds you open the door to other healing sources like omega3-fatty acids, which are great for optimal health.

7. Gluten-free grains

You can find these in brown rice, wild rice, and millet. They are carbohydrates that give us energy for the day and provide us with vitamins and minerals that shrink fibroids.

Keep in mind, you also do not have to be allergic to gluten to try these foods that may help you shrink your fibroids.

8. Green Tea

It has been shown that an extract of green tea can reduce the size of your fibroids because of its anti-inflammatory and antioxidants effects. So, it is worth trying and plus the taste is not bad.

In the end, we want you to feel better and take back control of your life. These eight foods are a great start to fighting back against fibroids while also teaching you a way to live a healthier lifestyle.

On the other hand, there are also foods to avoid that can increase your fibroid symptoms. These foods are as followed: red meat, cheese, butter, and ice cream. These foods contain elevated estrogen, which we all know plays a key role in the occurrence of fibroids.

The other ways you can manage fibroids and symptoms is by getting regular exercise, using a heating pad when the pain is high, controlling your high blood pressure, managing your stress level, and not smoking. When you combine both beneficial ways, you are starting to be proactive instead of passive in your health.
