Keeping Dollars in Duncan

By Ashley Moss
Staff Writer

The Duncan Switch Street Market is going strong. Sponsored by the  Duncanville Chamber of Commerce under their “Keeping Dollars in Duncan” initiative, the market returns to Main and Center Streets in downtown Duncanville on Saturday, August 15.

The initiative typically happens every third Saturday of the month but had taken a brief hiatus earlier in the summer due to COVID-19. The market will take place at the intersection of Main and Center Streets in Downtown Duncanville and be open from 9 am to 3 pm. The Kid’s Zone will not be open but shoppers can still take part in a variety of arts and crafts, enjoy local food and find items for purchase.

Visitors to Duncan Switch Street Market are asked to wear face masks, maintain six feet distance in accordance with Dallas County requirements, and carry hand sanitizer with them. Vendors interested in getting a booth can call the Duncanville Chamber of Commerce at (972) 780-4990 to get a vendor application.
