Gerard R. Sanders was born on June 6th, 1963 in Montgomery, Alabama to Roosevelt Sanders Jr. and Easter Davis. He was the middle son of three. He was proceeded in death by his father Roosevelt Sanders Jr. He was a 1981 graduate of Hamilton High School in Memphis, TN. Where he was better known as Spike. After he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, he was always searching and seeking for more knowledge of God. He sought formal learning at Southern Bible Institute and College. He also had what he called “His Treasure Chest’ of books that imparted clarity of God’s Word. Any and all were welcomed to them. All they had to do was ask. He was a man with a big heart and love for everyone. He has been an active member of Pearly Gates for 27 years under the leadership of Pastor T.J. Payne, where he served in many roles until he transitioned home. He leaves to cherish his memory wife, Mrs. Beverly; Mother, Easter Davis: Four sons; Gerayl Sanders, Shaquille Sanders, Tauren Dials, Darian Parhm (Katrena): One daughter, LaKeedra Peterson(Bobby): seven grandchildren: seven great-grandchildren:  two brothers; Michael Sanders (Virginia), Reginald Sanders (Rhonda) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, co-workers and neighbors.
