August 19, 1938 ~ January 21, 2023

Luebertha Harrison
Luebertha (Lue) Harrison was born on August 19, 1938, in Alexandria, Louisiana to Mae bell Harrison and Ralph Zeno, Sr. Luebertha attended Peabody High School and graduated in May of 1956. After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles, California where she met and married Monroe Mercer. To their union was born a daughter, Debra Ann Mercer. Ten years later, Luebertha and Sammy Sherman welcomed a son, Anthony Charles Sherman. Lue was a loving and nurturing mother. She was thankful for her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren whom God had blessed upon her. Lue was an active member of the Church of the Living God in Los Angeles, California for over thirty-five years. She was a member of the Mission Circle, Mother’s Board, and fundraiser for the Pastor’s Anniversary. She was a founding member of the Lunch Box program at the church to feed the homeless. She said her gift was to the Helps Ministry. In 2012, after working over thirty years in the housekeeping industry, Lue retired from working and moved to Grand Prairie, Texas to be near her daughter, grandchildren, sister, and family. She attended the Church of the Living God in Dallas, Texas with her family and continued to serve. Lue loved spending time cooking meals, reading her bible, preparing Sunday and holiday dinners, playing cards, and enjoying her family. Luebertha was a generous and giving person. She had a huge heart and love for people. She blessed so many people with her giving, volunteering, and prayers. While she was sick and, in the hospital, she was still praying for others. On January 21, 2023, Luebertha earned her reward. Well done. Good and Faithful Servant. She joins her parents Maebell Harrison and Ralph Zeno, Sr., daughter, Debra Mercer-Watson, and siblings, Loretta Price, Thomas Vaughn, and Ruby Payton.
