After graduating from Duncanville (TX) High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated in the top 10 percent of her class, Ciera Johnson played college basketball at Texas A&M University, where she is a member of the 1000-point club, scoring 1,066 points and finished her career sixth in field goal percentage, while majoring in Human Resource Development. Ciera was selected with the No. 32 pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft. Ciera was named the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year (2021) and was also rated as the No. 1 post player in the 2016 recruiting class by ESPN HoopGurlz, played in the McDonald’s All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic
