Dallas-based non-profit to offer ‘on-the-job’ training to marginalized filmmaking communities

Local filmmakers aim to provide on set experiences, principles to aspiring storytellers

Reel Shot

DALLAS, TEXAS — Reel Shot Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing opportunities to inspire underrepresented filmmakers through job shadowing and training with industry professionals on feature and short films. Reel Shot, Inc. is proud to announce the kick off our second motion picture project beginning in November.

Reel Shot will offer participants access to industry professionals to learn hands-on principles regarding motion picture development. This includes production management, technical execution and the initial development process of film-making. Participants in the program will work side-by-side with professional mentors to help further their development.

Lowkey Hustle

“Our focus and goal is to give underrepresented storytellers a platform to dive into the world of filmmaking with a level of on-the-job training from those already working in the field,” explains founder, Rock White.

Reel Shot’s first movie project, LowKey Hustle, is now streaming on FUBU (For Us By Us) Network.
