If you plan on taking in the State Fair of Texas this year, you won’t want to miss a new exhibit featuring the history of the Dallas Mavericks.

Mavs Vault will be on exhibit at this year’s State Fair of Texas, from Sept. 30 to Oct. 23 at the Hall of State at Fair Park. The historical exhibit, highlighting the team’s landmark moments of the past 42 years, features never-before-seen artifacts, a short historical film, interactive kiosks with trivia and games. It also has a Mavs photo booth, jersey progression display, giveaways, exclusive merchandise, and more.

The exhibit is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. starting Friday, Sept. 30 and running through the last day of the Fair, Oct. 23. Admission is free with a State of Fair Texas ticket.

A special sneak-preview was held on Wednesday night and featured Mavs GM Nico Harrison, Mavs legend Rolando Blackman, Mavs CEO Cynt Marshall and Mavs co-founder Norm Sonju.

“We have 120 artifacts here representing 42 years of our amazing history. We just want people to come out and enjoy the Mavs,” said Marshall. “We are going to kick off our home season opener on October 22 so this is a way to get into the vibes in advance.

“There is so much Mavs history here and not everyone knows our history,” she continued. “We have new Mavs fans, seasoned Mavs fans so this is a chance for us all to come together and just enjoy the great history of this wonderful team.”
