I Know Everything is Chaotic Right Now, but We’re Here to Help

By the Jasmine Crockett for House District 100 Campaign

Dear Friend,

During this pandemic, my team and I have been working hard (and remotely) to ensure our constituents have the information and resources needed to be proactive in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Our website now features a Coronavirus landing page that is being updated in real time with information from our local and state leaders, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and resources to help everyone — families, students, seniors, and all of our neighbors — navigate these uncertain times.

This pandemic has made one thing very clear — HD 100 deserves bold, fresh leadership and a proactive Representative who can navigate through even the most difficult times.

  • Our district deserves a Representative who will champion policies that would reduce the impact of COVID-19 or any other outbreak and improve our everyday lives. In the next legislative session I will prioritize policies that:
  • Ensure paid sick leave
  • Expand affordable healthcare access, including access to telemedicine and reproductive healthcare
  • Provide families with affordable childcare, access to high speed broadband, and housing and food security
  • Reform cash bail, end mass incarceration, and the overall criminalization of poverty.

It shouldn’t have to take a pandemic for leaders to wake up and act in the interest of their constituents.

When I go to Austin to represent our community, I will work diligently and collaboratively to make progress on these issues, and I am ready on day one.
