Incumbent Haitian-American assemblymembers win their NYS primary races

NEW YORK — Three Haitian-American incumbents on the ballot in the New York State primary elections have won their assembly seat races, effectively being re-elected in their Democratic-heavy districts. The primaries for State Assembly District 11 and District 42, currently represented by Kimberly Jean-Pierre and Rodneyse Bichotte-Hermelyn, respectively, were canceled. Those seats will be on the ballot in the Nov. 8 general election. 

Here’s a roundup of the results with Haitian-American candidates on the June 28 ballot.
