Dallas Mayor’s Anti-Hate Advisory Council releases statement on Colleyville hostage situation

DALLAS — Mayor Eric Johnson’s Anti-Hate Advisory Council on Saturday released a statement regarding the ongoing hostage situation in Colleyville:

“We are continuing to monitor the incident in Colleyville. Antisemitism and other actions of hate have no place in our community. We call upon people of all faiths to come together and work to unite our country. Our support goes out to the Colleyville community and the entire North Texas Jewish community. We pray for a peaceful resolution.” Mayor Johnson also announced on Twitter that, as a precaution, the Dallas Police Department has deployed additional patrols to Dallas synagogues and other sites.
