It is with profound respect and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Tommy McKinney, a beloved figure known for his loving nature, caring spirit, happy disposition, and deep devotion to family. Born on November 4, 1934, Tommy departed this life on May 25, 2026, leaving behind a legacy marked by kindness and an unwavering commitment to those he cherished.

Tommy McKinney’s life was a testament to the virtues of love and family. His presence radiated joy and warmth, touching all who were fortunate to know him. He held family at the core of his being, consistently prioritizing their happiness and welfare, embodying a spirit of generosity and affection that defined his every action.

In honor of Tommy’s memory, a series of services has been thoughtfully arranged to celebrate his life and legacy. On June 5, 2026, a viewing will be held from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Freeway in Dallas, Texas. Following this, a prayer service is scheduled on the same day from 7:15 PM to 8:15 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home – John Chapel, providing an opportunity for friends and loved ones to gather in remembrance and spiritual reflection.

The following day, June 6, 2026, a funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM at Temple Missionary Baptist Church, situated at 2718 South Ewing Avenue in Dallas, Texas. This sacred occasion will allow the community and family to pay their final respects and share in commemorating Tommy’s impactful life.

The journey concludes with a burial on June 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway in Dallas. This solemn proceeding will provide a place of honor and eternal rest for Tommy McKinney.
