It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sonja Hattley, a remarkable woman whose presence touched all who were fortunate enough to know her. Born on January 13, 1959, in Dallas, Texas, Sonja’s journey came full circle when she peacefully passed away in her beloved hometown on May 14, 2026.

Sonja was a proud graduate of Carter High School’s class of 1977, a milestone that laid the foundation for her lifelong commitment to growth and excellence. Over the years, she forged a meaningful career as a project manager, a role in which she demonstrated not only her skill and determination but also her innate ability to guide and support others with a steady hand.

Known for her calm demeanor and spiritual strength, Sonja was the embodiment of compassion. Her caregiving nature extended deeply into her family and relatives, where she was a devoted caretaker and a source of unwavering love and support. Those who knew Sonja often described her as one of a kind—a soul whose warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on their hearts.

Sonja’s life was a tapestry woven with quiet strength, gentle wisdom, and selfless devotion. She carried herself with grace and humility, always placing the needs of others before her own. To her, every relationship mattered, and she nurtured them with a love that was pure and enduring.

Though her physical presence has left us, the legacy of Sonja Hattley’s spirit will continue to resonate in the lives she touched. She leaves behind memories filled with tenderness, faith, and a reminder that true care transforms lives.

In mourning her loss, we honor Sonja’s extraordinary life, celebrating a woman who truly made a difference through the simplest yet most profound acts of kindness. She will forever hold a cherished place in the hearts of all who loved her. Rest peacefully, Sonja, and thank you for being one of a kind.
