Carrie Louise McClain, affectionately known as “Ms. Vegas,” passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026, just a day after celebrating her 74th birthday. Born on April 3, 1952, Carrie was a radiant presence in the lives of all who knew her—a woman whose warm spirit and magnetic charm made her impossible to forget.

There was a saying that perfectly captured the essence of Carrie: “Never met a stranger.” Indeed, her gift of gab and her infectious friendliness transformed every encounter into a memorable connection. She was a heartfelt friend and an enchanting hostess who could effortlessly make anyone feel at home. Her favorite greeting, “Hello Hi,” became a signature phrase that greeted friends old and new with genuine warmth and welcome.

Carrie’s passions revolved around traveling, hosting, and, above all else, her family. The world was her expansive playground, yet everything she ventured towards—whether near or far—circulated back to the joy of gathering loved ones together. As a proud “hostess with the mostess,” her home was a haven of laughter, comfort, and togetherness, where every corner echoed stories of shared experiences and heartfelt bonds.

A Wake gathering will be held on April 12, 2026, that evening at 6:00 p.m., allowing all who hold her dear to pay their respects and share in the solace of remembrance until 7:30 p.m. The celebration of Carrie’s life is planned on April 13, 2026, at the Harvey Avenue Baptist Church, located at 1257 East Harvey Avenue in Fort Worth, Texas. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Carrie Louise McClain’s legacy is etched into the hearts of those fortunate enough to have crossed her path. With a voice that could light up a room and a heart vast enough to embrace the world, she leaves behind a poignant reminder of kindness, connection, and the enduring power of a simple “Hello Hi.” Though she has departed this life, her spirit lingers in every smile, every story, and every warm reunion she so lovingly inspired.
