It is with profound respect and heartfelt remembrance that we honor the life of Norris Leonard Hill, who departed this world on March 18, 2026. Born on August 15, 1943, Norris led a life marked by dedication, passion, and service to his family, community, and country.

Norris was an outgoing and steadfast individual whose strict nature was balanced by a genuine love for life and those around him. A devoted husband, father, godfather, grandfather, brother-in-law, cousin, and friend, he built a legacy grounded in strong personal values and commitment.

From an early age, Norris demonstrated a remarkable zeal for football, starting a female football team. A passion that saw him serve as a referee for over 35 years. This love for the sport was a significant part of his identity, reflecting his discipline, fairness, and enthusiasm.

His academic accomplishments include earning a Master’s degree in Business, which propelled him into a diverse and impactful professional career. Norris’s work experience was rich and varied: he contributed his talents at Braniff Airlines, successfully owned and operated a mediation business, Jet Way travel and served as a hospital administrator, showcasing his multifaceted abilities and leadership qualities.

His commitment to education was exemplified by his service on the Wilmer Hutchinson School District, where he dedicated himself to improving and supporting the academic environment. Additionally, Norris’s patriotic spirit was evident in his service to his country as a member of the United States Navy, a testament to his courage and sense of duty.

Norris Leonard Hill’s life was one of meaningful contributions and cherished relationships. His passing leaves a depth of sorrow tempered by the lasting impressions he made on those fortunate enough to know him.

A viewing to honor his memory will be held on April 7, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. The funeral service will follow on April 8, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at All Nations Fellowship Church, 5146 South Country Club Road, Garland, TX 75043. His final resting place will be at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211, with burial commencing at 2:00 PM on the same day.
