OBIT: SIMMIE REED ALLEN

Simmie Reed Allen, a deeply cherished and family-oriented man known for his loving, caring nature and joyful spirit, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026. Born on August 6, 1949, Mr. Allen touched the lives of those around him with a heart full of kindness and a dedication to family that was evident to all who knew him.

Throughout his life, Simmie was a beacon of happiness and warmth, embodying values that encouraged unity and compassion within his community and loved ones. He carried himself with a gentle demeanor that invited friendship and fostered deep connections, making him a source of comfort and strength to his family and friends alike.

Plans to honor the life and legacy of Simmie Reed Allen have been arranged with reverence and care. The viewing will take place on March 19, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Freeway in Dallas, Texas. This will be followed by the funeral service on March 20, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Allene Chapel of the same funeral home.

Further respects will be paid in Cuero, Texas, where a viewing is scheduled for March 23, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home, located at 213 North Gonzales Street. The burial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. the same day at Hillside Cemetery, situated on 2nd Street in Cuero.

Simmie’s legacy of love and happiness remains an enduring example for all who were blessed to know him. As family and friends gather to commemorate his life, his memory will continue to inspire kindness and familial devotion across generations.
