OBIT: CARMEN DEANN LOVELACE

Carmen DeAnn Lovelace, a luminous spirit whose light shone brightly in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her, passed away on March 4, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. Born on May 30, 1985, in the quaint town of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Carmen embodied the essence of joy with her witty humor, infectious laughter, and an unwavering zest for life.

Those who had the pleasure of being around Carmen would often find her radiating happiness, her upbeat personality drawing friends and family alike into her warm embrace. As a caring individual, she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her beloved children, Christianity Medford and Alexandria Valentine, proudly calling them her greatest accomplishment. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her children; she took on the role of caretaker for her first cousins, welcoming each day as an opportunity to spread love.

Carmen had an undeniable passion for music and a talent for freestyling that captivated those who listened. Her joyous nature was often best reflected in the savory aroma of BBQ wafting from her grill, where she cooked with love and laughter, inviting all into her culinary world. Memories of watching her find sheer delight in simple pleasures, such as driving without knowing how or sharing spontaneous moments with friends, will remain etched in the hearts of many.

Her legacy is lovingly carried on by her brothers, Derrick Harper, Marcus Lovelace, and Eddie Lovelace, along with uncles Rondrick Harper and Eric Harper, and her aunt, Lula Cuellar-Teycer. A host of cousins, nieces, and nephews stand testament to the immense love Carmen poured into her family.

Carmen is preceded in death by her devoted mother, Carla Harper Tilley, father, Eddie Lovelace , grandmother, Betty Harper and niece, Zamaria Lovelace whose spirit will surely welcome her home.

A chance to gather and celebrate the vibrant life of Carmen DeAnn Lovelace will take place on March 13, 2026, at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Following this, friends and family will gather together for a graveside service at Piney Cemetery in Mount Pleasant on March 14, 2026, at noon.

As we reflect on Carmen’s life, we are reminded of her laughter echoing in our memories and the warmth of her presence that touched so many lives.
