
Tiffany Huitt-Powell is a native New Yorker, hailing from Buffalo. A graduate of Paul Quinn College and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., she earned a Master of Interdisciplinary Science from the University of Texas at Arlington and is pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership at Southern Methodist University. With a distinguished career that began at Dallas ISD in 1999 as a science teacher, her leadership roles include being principal of the School of Science and Engineering at the Yvonne A. Townview Magnet Center, deputy chief, academic officer, and Executive Director over magnet schools. She has led curriculum development, professional learning, and STEM initiatives across Texas. She serves as the chief of schools for DISD.
