OBIT: James Edward Moore

James Edward Moore, a beloved figure known for his hearty laughter and insatiable curiosity about the world around him, passed away from this earthly realm on February 21, 2026, in Mesquite, Texas. Born on December 22, 1948, in the vibrant city of Dallas, James epitomized the spirit of friendship and connection throughout his remarkable life.

A true truck driver to the core, James spent countless hours traversing the open roads, always with a story to tell and a new friend waiting to be made. His innate ability to never meet a stranger endeared him to anyone he encountered along the way. Conversations flowed easily with James, characterized by his wit and humor, which had a magnetic quality that drew many into his orbit.

James had a passion for the great outdoors, with fishing being one of his most cherished hobbies. Many fond memories were forged amid serene waters, where he could unwind, cast a line, and engage in deep conversation about life’s mysteries with family and friends—stories that now echo in the hearts of those privileged to share those moments with him.

As we gather to celebrate the life of James Edward Moore, we invite all who knew and loved him to join us for a Wake Service on February 27, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Jireh’s Tabernacle Worship Center in Mesquite, Texas.
