
Christal Watson is an accomplished civic leader and nonprofit executive with a proven record in organizational management, coaching, government, and business development. She holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from Ashford University and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management/Leadership— both with honors! Elected by Wyandotte County voters, Watson made history as the first Black woman to serve as Mayor and CEO of the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas. A recipient of numerous awards, Mayor Watson has served on numerous boards and commissions and honed her skills in several executive positions at Truman Medical Centers, Heartland Black Camber of Commerce and Kansas, School Foundation for Excellence.
