Senate District 16 Year-End Reception

Texas State Sen. Nathan Johnson held his Senate District 16 Year-End Honorees Reception in recognition of outstanding contributions.

During the reception, Sen. Johnson presented Senate resolutions to:

Individual Honorees:
– Liz Morse, Richardson Independent School District
– Jon Dahlander, Dallas Independent School District
– President Dale Petroskey, Dallas Regional Chamber
– Willis Johnson, JBJ Management
– Cheryl Smith, The Garland Journal & Texas Metro News
– Music Director Felix Torres & Mesquite Symphony Orchestra
– President Ken Malcolmson, North Dallas Chamber of Commerce
– Dr. Robert Xavier Rodriguez, The University of Texas at Dallas
Organization Honorees:
– DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit)
– Metrocare Services
– Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas

This reception brought together a group of honorees from across Senate District 16 whose work strengthens communities in arts, education, healthcare, business, transportation, and public service.

Sen. Johnson said, “From journalists telling our community’s stories, to educators shaping young minds, to business leaders growing our region responsibly, to artists moving us in ways words can’t capture — thank you.”
