OBIT: LUE CALAHAN

Lue Calahan, born on July 10, 1940, graced our world with her warmth and kindness until her peaceful passing on November 28, 2025. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Lue was a pillar of strength and a beacon of light to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Her personality was nothing short of extraordinary—marked by her genuine kindness and easygoing nature. Lue was always ready to lend a helping hand, offering support and love to those around her. Her warm smile and straightforward approach endeared her to many, and her sense of humor brought joy to countless hearts.

A devoted member of the community, she found great fulfillment attending and working within her church. Singing was another passion she cherished, often lifting spirits with her melodious voice. She was also a talented seamstress, known for making her own clothes and taking pleasure in dressing up for any occasion.

Traveling and driving were activities she delighted in, exploring new places and creating cherished memories along the way. Lue’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with moments of generosity and joy, and she leaves behind a legacy that will be forever cherished.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life during the viewing on December 12, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. The funeral service will take place on December 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Full Gospel Holy Temple, also in Dallas. Her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew her, as they honor her memory and the incredible life she lived.
