Leaders in the Mix

Networking and promotion at core of North Texas group

It was a cool evening to swap contact information and ideas as a few dozen professionals  gathered at Bottled in Bond cocktail parlor for the Frisco Diversity Leadership Council (FDLC) mixer on Nov. 25, 2025.

The networking began as soon as attendees entered the door, greeted by handshakes and warm smiles, oftentimes with the question, “What do you do?”

While the approach by many was direct, it was intentional and on par with the FDLC’s mission of providing a space of connectivity for businesses and owners in Frisco and North Texas.

“We’re entering our fourth year,” board member Kimberly Evans proudly said, also sharing that she is the only woman on the board led by Kevin Westerfield.

This month’s speaker was Lucky Goat Coffee Co. franchise owner Sabrina Watkins who shared business tips as attendees listened.

It was a great time for these business owners and leaders to give thanks as they celebrated wins and discovered how they can help each other grow.
