OBIT: VINCENT EDDIE WILLIAMS SR

Vincent Eddie Williams, born on October 30, 1947, in Fulton, Arkansas, passed away on October 21, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. He lived a life characterized by service and dedication, both to his family and his career, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by those who knew him.

Vincent had a commendable career in law enforcement. He served as a Jailer at Lew Sterrett Justice Center in Dallas, Texas, showcasing his commitment to public safety. Following this, he worked as a Constable for Precinct 8 and later became a Sergeant at the Hutchins Police Department. His career culminated with his retirement as a Sergeant with the DART Police Department, where he continued to make a positive impact on his community.

An Army veteran, Vincent exemplified the values of honor and duty. His military service was a source of pride that complemented his lifelong commitment to serving others.

Outside of his professional life, Vincent was known for his warm personality. He was a good friend, a devoted father, and a steadfast provider. His love for his family was profound, particularly for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy.

Vincent had an appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. He enjoyed fishing, which provided him with moments of peace and reflection. Additionally, he was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, passionately supporting his team through every season.

His proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly his family and his distinguished career, which not only fulfilled him but also served to enrich the lives of many others.

Visitation will be held on November 18, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. The funeral service will take place on November 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Greater Zion B.C., 4751 Hopkins Avenue, Dallas, TX 75209. A burial service will follow on the same day at 2:15 PM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.

Vincent Eddie Williams is remembered not just for his work and service but also for the love he gave so freely, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to have been part of his life. His spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who loved him.
