
Nikayela Lockett resides in Grand Prairie, TX. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Alabama State University, but also obtained her Law degree at Thurgood Marshall School of Law. She has been with Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas for 10+ years. She is a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. (NCBW) Fort Worth Metropolitan Chapter. While serving as Chair of the Public Policy Committee, Nikayela coordinated and led the charge for multiple NCBW Texas chapters to rally to Austin, TX for Legislative Day focused on legislative advocacy related to Voting Rights, Black Maternal Health and Gun Violence Prevention. Nikayela is the 2025-26 President of the Mansfield Summit High School PTSA Board.
