Wilmer receives $25,000 from QTS Data Centers for community fire safety support

WILMER, TX – The City of Wilmer recently received a $25,000 donation to the National Fire Council on behalf of the Wilmer Fire Department from QTS Data Centers.

QTS is well known for their community involvement in Wilmer.

Wilmer Mayor Sheila Petta said, “This generous donation continues the QTS Data Center commitment to improving the communities in which they work.”

Petta emphasized the funds will directly support the Wilmer Fire Department’s fire prevention efforts, including educational props, costumes, banners, school supplies, and informational materials distributed throughout the community to promote the importance of fire safety.

Fire continues to be a leading cause of injury and death across the nation, costing Americans billions of dollars each year.  The City of Wilmer and the Wilmer Fire Department are grateful for the QTS’s partnership and its investment in the safety of the community.
