OBIT: HELEN HATTLEY JOHNSON

Helen Hattley Johnson, born on June 23, 1944, in Tenaha, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025. She was a beloved figure in her community, remembered for her easy-going nature and unwavering commitment to helping others. Known for her generous spirit, Helen was always there to lend a hand, whether it was through her kind words, her delicious cooking, or her baking that brought joy to many.

Helen’s life was grounded in her deep faith, and she was an active member of her church community. Her religious beliefs guided her actions and interactions with those around her, making her a source of inspiration and support for family, friends, and neighbors alike.

She was a nurturing presence, always putting others first and dedicating her time to care for those in need. Her legacy is one of love, compassion, and selflessness, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.  She retired from the Dallas Postal Service. 

A visitation to honor Helen Hattley Johnson will be held on October 17, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place on October 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. John  M.B.C, 2600 S. Marsalis Ave, Dallas, Tx.

Helen’s memory will live on in the love she shared and the lives she touched throughout her remarkable journey. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and service that will continue to inspire future generations.
