OBIT: GLADYS MARIE SIMMONS

Gladys Marie Simmons, born on November 7, 1941, was a cherished member of her community who gracefully departed this world on September 19, 2025. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend, she was known for her uplifting spirit and deep compassion for those around her.

Gladys lived her life with an unwavering commitment to love and kindness. She had an exceptional ability to make everyone feel like family, embracing all as her own children. Her vivacious and fashionable personality lit up any room she entered, and her vibrant presence was complemented by her sincere faith. A God-fearing woman, Gladys served as the First Lady of the Final Call Community Church, where her devotion to servitude inspired many.

In life, Gladys never met a stranger. Her genuine warmth and kindness brought people together, creating bonds that lasted a lifetime. She was a pillar of strength and a source of comfort and inspiration for her family and friends alike.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a viewing on October 2, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. A funeral service honoring her life will take place on October 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM at West Dallas Community Church.

Gladys Marie Simmons will be profoundly missed, but her legacy of love will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
