Royce West Celebrity Golf Classic Honors Black Sports Legacy

On a warm October morning, golfers, celebrities, and community leaders gathered at the Golf Club of Dallas for the annual Royce West Celebrity Golf Classic. This event, which benefits the Black Sports Hall of Fame, was held at the historic venue, once home to prestigious PGA tournaments and renowned for its challenging greens.

The Golf Club of Dallas provided the ideal setting for a day of intense competition and camaraderie. With 85 players across 21 teams, the event featured a diverse group of participants, including boxing trainer Derrick James and NFL legend Tim Brown.

Together, they came together to raise awareness and funds, honoring the invaluable contributions of Black athletes to sports history.

The event also included raffles and prizes for supporters, adding to the excitement and generosity of the occasion.
