OBIT: TORY DEON HENRY

Tory Deon Henry, beloved father, son, brother, and friend, was born on July 4, 1982, in Dallas and passed away on August 4, 2025, in the same city. Known for his funny, caring, and uplifting personality, Tory made a lasting impact on the lives of all who knew him. He graduated from Desoto High School in 2000, where he began to cultivate the humor and kindness that would define his life.

Tory will be remembered fondly for the joyful memories he created, particularly while playing games with his nephews, imitating his uncle Clarence “Munco,” and engaging in sibling rivalry with his sister Shonda. His love for sweets, especially the brownies from 7 Eleven, brought a smile to his face and those around him. He cherished the simple pleasures in life, such as taking walks with his beloved dog, Duece, and watching the Dallas Cowboys play, alongside his favorite TV shows like “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” and “Family Matters.” He will definitely be remembered for always asking for twenty dollars!

Tory took great pride in his children—Jedarrian, Le’Trae, Tory Jr, Jamyah, Eli, and Legacee—who were undoubtedly his proudest accomplishments. His nurturing spirit and unwavering love will be remembered and cherished by them and by his doting mother, Johnetta Norman, and father, Lee Frazier. Tory is also survived by his sisters, LaShonda, Tomeka, and Crystal, and his granddaughter Lei’Lani. He is preceded in death by his brother, Samuel.

Tory’s life will be honored with a viewing on August 22, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224. His funeral service will follow on August 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also held at the same location.

As we remember Tory Deon Henry, let us celebrate the laughter he brought into our lives and the love he shared with his family and friends. His spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
