Roy Lee Hughes Jr., born on December 3, 2007, in Dallas, Texas, tragically passed away on August 8, 2025. He was a remarkable young man whose spirit and determination were evident in all he pursued. Known for his loving and caring nature, Roy embodied the essence of family orientation, always placing the needs and happiness of those he loved before his own.

Roy was celebrated as a Track State Champion, showcasing not only his athletic talents but also his commitment and perseverance. Whether on the track or in life, he inspired those around him with his positive attitude and dedication to excellence.

Family and friends are invited to honor his memory during a viewing at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas on August 22, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held the following day, August 23, 2025, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, starting at 11:00 AM and concluding by 12:00 PM.

Roy Lee Hughes Jr. will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, as the love he shared and the impact he made on the lives of others will resonate for years to come. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength that will forever be cherished.
