OBIT: LUCY F. ROSE

Lucy F. Rose, born on January 16, 1934, in Wortham, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. She was 91 years old at the time of her passing, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, joy, and culinary delights that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Lucy was a vibrant spirit, known for her ability to keep everyone laughing and for being the life of the party. Her laughter and love brought joy to family gatherings, creating cherished memories that will endure in the hearts of her loved ones. All of her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her siblings held a special place for her in their hearts. Lucy was not just a beloved family member; she was a source of inspiration and light in their lives.

She was famously recognized for her exquisite sweet potato pies and caramel cake, which became beloved family traditions. Her culinary creations were more than just desserts; they were tokens of her love, bringing family and friends together around the table to share stories, laughter, and life’s moments.

Lucy F. Rose’s funeral service will take place on July 22, 2025, at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas, starting at 11:00 AM. 

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, as they remember a woman whose laughter echoed through the rooms she graced and whose culinary talents brought comfort and joy to many. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the impact she made in the lives of her family and friends.
