Rep. Jasmine Crockett to Hold Press Conference to Announce Re-introduction of the Democracy Restoration Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Wednesday, July 23, Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (TX-30) will host a press conference on Capitol Hill to announce the re-introduction of the Democracy Restoration Act, legislation that would restore federal voting rights to millions of Americans who have completed their prison sentences.

The bill aims to strengthen our democracy by eliminating outdated and discriminatory barriers to the ballot box for returning citizens. Congresswoman Crockett will be joined by fellow lawmakers, advocates, and directly impacted individuals to highlight the importance of restoring full civic participation for all Americans.
