OBIT: MELVIN SWINEY

Melvin Swiney, a beloved member of the community, passed away on July 8, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on September 6, 1937, Melvin’s life was marked by his loving nature and caring spirit, which he shared generously with everyone around him.

Known for being exceptionally family-oriented, Melvin devoted much of his time to nurturing relationships with his loved ones. His warmth and kindness resonated deeply within his family and friends, leaving an indelible impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

As we gather to honor Melvin’s remarkable life, we invite family and friends to join us at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas for a viewing on July 15, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This will provide an opportunity to remember Melvin, share stories, and find comfort in one another’s presence. A funeral service will be held the following day, July 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Allene Chapel of Golden Gate Funeral Home, where we will celebrate Melvin’s legacy and the love he shared throughout his life.

Melvin Swiney’s memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who knew him. His loving and caring nature will continue to inspire those he leaves behind, ensuring that his spirit lives on through the connections he fostered during his lifetime.
